Maritza has worked in the IDD field since 2000, driven by a deep commitment to improving systems and ensuring quality care for every person supported. Inspired by her own family’s challenges, she entered the human services field to better support them and others like them. Maritza believes that people with IDD deserve the same opportunities as anyone else—to live independently, pursue their goals, and be fully accepted in society. Her work reflects a passion for advocacy, inclusion, and meaningful change.
